You might be accustom to gathering the family and rushing off to wait in line at the mall. After chasing the kids around the waiting room trying to keep them from messing up their hair, you spend 10 maybe 15 minutes taking unnatural forced posed pictures behind a glass wall with the whole waiting area gazing in. When your finished, you sit down and look at approximately 10 to 15 images of the same boring pose with only about 2 or 3 that turned out ok. Time to make the hard choices! You have to decide what to get, where you are going to put them, how many you need, what sizes, and who else you need to buy for, all while your family is begging to get out the door and back home.

OnSite Photography's portrait photography sessions are unlike anything you have experienced. All of our portrait sessions start with a pre planning session, typically about 1 week before the actual photo shoot. The planning session is usually done in the customers home. This allows us to discuss the type of images you are looking for and also where and how you plan on displaying them in your home. We can decide what clothing colors, background design, image size, and portrait orientation will best fit the wall or room they will be displayed in. Discussing these details allows me to create a beautiful custom piece for your home and make sure you are getting exactly what you want. I view a portrait session as a chance to create a piece of art that my customer can enjoy for many years. For you, all the guess work is done and you and your family can have a relaxed and stress free portrait session.
The look of the final prints has a great deal to do with the way the subject and photographer relate to each other. The planning session lets us build a rapport so it doesn't seem like a stranger is trying to make you to smile. I always keep things upbeat and rolling smoothly. I try to treat each person in a way that compliments their personality so we can capture emotion, relationship, and life, not poses. Our unique approach helps us create a portrait session that is as individual as you are.

- Custom slide show of images with in home projection proofing
- Web based proofing and ordering of all images in your own private gallery
*Session fees are due at the planning session and are non-refundable. A 48 hour cancellation notice is required to reschedule.
